An AI phone switchboard for your business in Morocco
A switchboard distributes a company's inbound calls. In Morocco it tends to saturate at the same moments every time: during service, at the end of the day, at the weekend, or when the one person who knows the file is already on another line. An AI switchboard takes those calls, speaks to the caller in Moroccan darija, and acts inside the tools you have switched on instead of simply recording a message.
This page describes what Sotiby lets you configure today. Listen to the darija voice samples to judge the tone before going any further.
Touch-tone menu, voicemail, voice agent: three different things
An interactive voice response menu, the classic IVR, offers a tree of keypad options: press 1 for opening hours. The caller has to translate their request into your menu, and every new situation demands one more branch.
Voicemail answers nothing at all. It records, and somebody may call back. For a booking or an availability question, the caller often hangs up before the greeting is over.
An AI voice agent lets the caller phrase the request in their own words, then answers from your instructions, your opening hours and your catalogue. If the request calls for it, the agent looks a tool up during the call, your calendar for instance, before closing the conversation.
Keep your line, or take a Moroccan number
You do not have to change your number. You can keep your current line and route it to Sotiby, or get a Moroccan number from the platform. Bringing a line into service usually takes under forty-eight hours; configuring the agent itself takes a few minutes in the browser.
Darija, French and Arabic on the same line
A business call in Morocco rarely stays in one language. The same customer may ask for an opening time in darija, give a product name in French and spell an address in Arabic. The reception has to follow that mix without asking the caller to pick a language at the start of the call.
What the agent can do during the call
- Check your availability, offer a slot and confirm the appointment before hanging up.
- Recognise a returning customer from their record, instead of asking again for what they have already given.
- Walk a caller through an order from your menu or catalogue, and update loyalty.
- Transfer to a colleague when the situation falls outside what you planned for.
The agent works from the information you enter, and from nothing else. A missing opening time or an out-of-date price produces a bad answer, exactly as it would with a badly briefed person on the front desk.
When the agent does not know the answer
You decide what happens: transfer the call, offer a callback, or take a detailed message. The call is never left with no way out, and the request reaches you with the rest of the call report.
What is left after the call
Every call is available in your workspace history with its recording, its transcript and its summary. That history is also the raw material for your corrections: you spot the requests that were handled badly, prepare a new version of your instructions, listen to it in preview, then publish it. A version already published never changes, which is what guarantees you know exactly what is answering your customers.
Several sites, several lines
One organisation can run several agents, several lines and several teams, each kept separate and visible on its own. Two addresses can therefore have their own opening hours, their own catalogue and their own reception without sharing a number.
Personal data and compliance
Calls handled by an AI switchboard contain personal data: a name, a number, sometimes an address. Sotiby processes that data in line with law 09-08 and the requirements of the CNDP. The detail is in our privacy policy.
Putting your reception into service
- Enter your business, your opening hours and your catalogue.
- Describe your reception in plain language and choose the voice.
- Switch on the tools your appointments or orders need.
- Test several conversations in the browser preview.
- Publish, then route your line to the agent.
No code is required. See the Sotiby plans or describe your current phone reception to us.
